Hike in Topstone Park

Topstone Park in Redding has a lovely trail around the lake. Lots of ferns, stone walls, and the water lilies should be in bloom. This will be a fairly leisurely hike and shouldn't take more than one hour. Dogs are welcome and any older kids who are already out of school are also welcome to join us. If you don't have hiking boots, sneakers are fine, but the trail may be muddy in spots, so maybe don't wear your new kicks!

The sign for the parking area is not easily visible from the road, so when you are coming along Topstone Road from Rte 7, a little ways after you cross the train tracks, the road will turn to dirt - after you hit the dirt road, make the first right to turn into the parking lot. We will meet there at 9:30am.
